DANIELLE DOBSON - LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER - MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

I’ve shared my top tips for dressing for a photoshoot before, but now that I’ve got my own client wardrobe I thought I’d chat to you about how you can borrow some of my timeless pieces and still create a beautiful look for your whole family.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I’ve been curating a small collection of gorgeous garments on my stories over the last few months. And I’m so thrilled to share that at last some of the pieces are making their debut!
Here’s Clarissa wearing one of my dresses, and with some clever planning it tied in so perfectly with the rest of her well dressed clan.
They ticked all the boxes when it comes to family dressing, including colour, texture, comfort and personality (you can read more about those on that blog post I was telling you about here) and it brought me so much joy to see a mama feeling confident and carefree in a piece I’d hoped would achieve exactly that.
I love the way the neutral tones all tie in together, but there’s still interest created in the pattern of the dress and the lovely textures of the knits and corduroy. Some materials are floaty and some are snuggly, and together it tells a beautiful story of their family.
If you’re worried about what to wear during your session, or you’re just looking for some inspo on colours/textures/fabrics that always look wow in front of the lens, you can take a peek at my collection via my ‘INFO’ story highlight on the gram. It’s just a small selection for now (complete access is included in your session fee!), but I hope you’ll love it as much as I do!
Any questions, I’m only ever a comment, DM or email away.
