It’s hard to really understand the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. The big milestones? Sure, they’re the easy ones to savour. But it’s the little, seemingly insignificant minutes of everyday bliss that pass by in an instant and have us yearning to go back in time, even if just for a little while.
If there’s one thing I regret most about when we welcomed our two babies home, it’s without a doubt not getting photos done. I cannot even find a photo in my phone of all four of us together…the earliest was when Milly was 4 months old.
It seems ironic now that I’m a family photographer, huh?! But please don’t be like me. Be like Amy and Luke here. This is the fourth time I’ve photographed their glowing and growing fam and I honestly wish I was more like these guys in the early years!
As I’m sure you’ve already noticed, their shoot was everything you hope for in a newborn session. Cute babe, excited big sis and adoring parents juggling two very well loved little humans with equal parts devotion and amazement. And then a certain little miss fell asleep right in the middle of it all, so sleeping, snuggling sibling snaps it was!
It’s definitely an investment to keep capturing your family as it grows, but one that I promise you will treasure forever and ever.
(And one that I treasure right there with you)
